Interim Tenant
Leasing Criteria, Building 7A
- The Tenant must have a collaborative
educational or research relationship with the
University at Albany and similar educational or
research and development programs, or have the
potential to establish such a relationship.
- The Tenant’s business activities must
present opportunities to encourage and stimulate
the advancement or development of research
activities or other educational interaction with
the University.
- The Tenant’s business activities create
research, educational or employment
opportunities for faculty, students and
graduates.
- The Tenant’s business activities must
contribute to the educational environment by
providing new perspectives, understanding or
instructional opportunities.
- Permitted uses will include: office space,
incubator space, knowledge center laboratories,
research and development facilities, basic and
applied testing facilities, pilot and prototype
development facilities and approved ancillary
services.
- Ancillary uses may include: child care, food
services, training and lab facilities, research,
conference and seminar rooms, as well as office
space for business counseling, venture capital,
legal, accounting and other technology related
business service providers.
- Tenants must have a workable and functional
Business Plan in place and all applicants must
demonstrate sufficient financial capacity to
meet its’ obligations for continued operation.
